Mcdonald’s West Loop lands Best Of Year 2018
We always love flying to New York for Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Year Awards Gala—even when we don’t win. But this year the trip was doubly sweet—and we do mean doubly. We won two awards!
Such a thrill to share the award for Extra Large Office with IA Interior Architects, our partner on the design for McDonald’s new world headquarters in Chicago’s West Loop. And to pick up a second award exclusively for the same project’s Brand and Graphics: Environmental.
McDonald’s move downtown after 47 years on a corporate campus in suburban Oak Brook was such a radical refresh in business terms and branding terms that we recognized at once the need for a truly groundbreaking design. The result is nine floors of McDonald’s history and culture as seen through the prism of a company looking ahead.
